Google Ads
Fidero delivers your conversions to Google Ads as enhanced conversions and offline click conversions, carrying the click IDs and first-party data Google matches on, hashed before they leave.
| Channel | Browser + server |
| Consent category | advertising |
| Deduplication | Conversions are keyed by the order's transaction_id (falling back to the order ID, then the event's message ID), so the same conversion imports once. The gclid ties each conversion back to the click that drove it. |
| Identifiers | Click IDs – gclid, wbraid and gbraid – captured before a redirect can drop them, and enhanced-conversion data (email, phone, name and address) hashed to Google's spec as first-party data. |
What it delivers
- Enhanced conversions. Web conversions are enriched with hashed first-party data, delivered through
gtagor the Google Ads API depending on your enhanced-conversions method - Offline conversion import. Server-side conversions that land later are imported against their
gclid, so a conversion that completes after the click still counts - Consent Mode v2. Consent signals are set from the visitor's consent state
What you provide
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Conversion ID and labels | Your Google Ads conversion ID, and a conversion label for each event you want to track. |
| Customer ID | Your Google Ads account ID, and a manager account ID if you use one. |
| API refresh token | A one-time OAuth authorisation of your Google Ads account, for server-side delivery. |
That's everything. Mapping, formatting, hashing and deduplication are already built in – you switch the destination on by requesting it, and the flow is on the Destinations overview.
What's automatic
- First-party hashing. Email, phone and name are SHA-256 hashed and tagged as first-party data before they leave
- Click-ID capture.
gclid, wbraidandgbraidare captured from the URL and paired with each conversion - Managed API access. Fidero owns the Google Ads developer token and OAuth application and refreshes the access token for you – you authorise once, and there's nothing to rotate
Enrichment, consent enforcement, delivery monitoring and managed adapter updates apply to every third-party destination – what every destination receives covers the standard treatment.
